Welcome to Ballybay & Culloville Karate Clubs. Oss!


JKS Ireland is pleased to extend a very warm welcome to Sensei Neil O’Sullivan and the members of his two dojos, Ballybay & Culloville Karate Clubs as the newest members of the JKS Family here in Ireland.

Sensei O’Sullivan has practised Shotokan Karate since 1987 with many of his formative training years in the Karate Union of Ireland under Tommy McGrane Sensei. Over the past 30 years he has trained with some of the world’s top Shotokan Sensei’s: Enoeda, Kanazawa, Okazaki, Yaguchi, Kawasoe, Sherry and Brennan.

He has also regularly represented both club and country, competing nationally and internationally. He has been National Champion twice and Shotokan Open winner twice. He represented Ireland in ESKA in Poland in 2005, in the JKA World Championships in Sydney in 2006, in London in 2008, in Austria in 2009, in Germany in 2010 and Poland in 2011.

Sensei O’Sullivan is a dedicated Karate practitioner and enjoys all aspects of the art from furthering his own karate development, to teaching, supporting and encouraging his students in their training. Dermot O’ Keeffe Sensei, Technical Director of JKS Ireland, said he is delighted to welcome Neil Sensei and the members of both dojos into JKS Ireland. He said that Neil Sensei is an excellent Instructor and that JKS Ireland will benefit from his years of training and competition experience

Neil Sensei teaches in Culloville Karate Club, Culloville Community Centre, Corrasmoo Road, Culloville, Newry on Tuesdays from 6:30pm - 7:30pm

He also teaches in Ballybay Karate Club, Church Hall, Church Street, Ballybay Co. Monaghan on Wednesdays & Fridays 7pm – 8pm
